Joe Ganiel was a good student and a pretty quiet kid throughout most of his years
at Assumption. When someone in the class would roll a penny down the aisle, Joe
would chase after it and pick it up. He was also known for telling corny jokes in
the later years. His best friend from Assumption was, and still is, Jim Bloemker.
